Fall cookies with my mom & sister

What did I do with all that leftover dough this weekend??? Well I put it to good use & used it as a good excuse to get to spend a little quality time with my sister & my mom.

Granted I did spend the majority of time fixing the coors of icing so they could have something to do, but overall I had fun.

My sister really liked using the blue for leaves (one of her favorite colors if you couldnt have guessed)

I made mainly "mini" cookies, I think we iced them faster & plus there were more of them in the end.

And my little helper who fell asleep while waiting for "little drops from heaven" to come down.

I would also like to mention I was mistaken about being able changing the language on my blog. Sorry for the inconvenience.

I believe I changed my page to where you can view this site in Russian if you like. I decided to do this since the country with the 2nd most amount of views of my page is Russia. Hope it works for y'all! Let me know if it's not working & I will try to fix it.

The life of a college baker

Ok, so I have no pictures for this post but wanted to let you know I have been baking like crazy the last 2 days. I was up until 2 a.m. trying to get all the cookies ready so they would be dry & could be decorated this morning when I got up, because I had an order of 4 dozen cookies come in on Sunday. I don't have an oven at school so I had to get them all done Friday night & Saturday morning. They are all done & I dropped them off earlier & will put pics on in the next few days. I've got some leftover dough from the order so I may be playing with it a little once I get some homework done... Ah, the lovely perks of being a college student without an oven... leaving everything for the last minute! Haha!!! Oh yeah... Kinda forgot... I updated the look of the site a few days ago. Hope y'all like it!

Lace Cookies

I made these cookies as a prototype for the wedding shower on Saturday. I played around with different styles and such to see what looked best. This was so much fun!!! I tried doing this previously but I didn't have a #1 tip so it was almost impossible to get it to look right.

This one I would have to say is probably my favorite.

Mallard Duck Cookies

These cookies are a prototype for the cookies I am making for a couples shower this Saturday. I had fun researching & finding a design for these. They were fairly simple too!

All I had to do was scrounge up one of my old rubber ducky cookie cutters since it's the only duck cookie cutter I own. I still think they turned out really cute!

I gave one of them a navy eye and the other a white and navy eye... I like them both though.

Easter Cookies

Ok... Yeah I know it's no where close to Easter, but I was looking through some pics of the cookies I've done and I had a bunch of fun with these!!! I made these cookies for an auction for summer missions at the BCM (Baptist College Ministry) on the U of M campus. 

I think I ended up making about 5 dozen in total. I only sold 3 dozen and kept the rest to give away.. a little selfish I know but I did want to get a little something out of spending probably way to much time on sweets donated... I make a habit out of that. I always like to do the best I can, I also had a bunch of friends who like to eat them too so I didn't eat the rest I gave most of them away. I find that a reoccurring theme whenever I bake cookies. If I don't sell them I'm usually giving them away. I rarely have more than 1 cookie from every batch I make... and a lot of times I don't get any...

I baked these in the dorm since the dorm I live in doesn't have an oven. ( Yeah I know what you are probably thinking... "What's up with that?" and I must admit I thought the same thing...) Then I made the icing and iced the cookies in the dorm.
