Every year the high school I graduated from has an auction. This year I thought hat I could give back to my high school by donating some of my talents (thank you Mr. Rex). So I donated an order of custom cookies. The woman who won the cookies in the auction got in touch with me and found and sent me a picture of what she wanted the cookies to look like.
I had actually seen these before (on Pinterest) and really wanted to make them but didn't really know what I would make them for. But now I had a reason to buy the quarterfoil cookie cutter and start baking away.
Each cookie ended up being much larger than I originally intended them to be because most of the cookie cutters I looked at for this project were either way too small or extremely overpriced (I'm talking about $15 for a cookie cutter!!!) So I figured a 5 inch cutter was the best I could do so I bought it.
In the end buying the larger sized cookie cutter ended up working out perfectly. The letters fit exactly the way they needed to and they weren't too cramped. (I did a test set of cookies on a 2 inch square and it was way too small and it just looked funny.)
We had initiation last weekend which means... I GOT MY PADDLE!!!! This is a big deal for bigs in the Sorority life. My little did PERFECTLY on my paddle. She knows me so well... glitter and Disney. I couldn't have asked for anything better!
She also gave me a HUGE Disney princess coloring book!!!
My big, me, and my little
I also got to see my sorority composites. All the pictures of out members will go in a frame (like those in a graduating class from high school) and it goes on the wall in our chapter room.
Yesterday I had surgery on my sinuses and nose, hopefully this will help resolve all the major health issues I have been having within the last year. I got a cute little cotton mustache too. If there is anything that doesn't make since in this blog post this should explain why...
