Catching Up

Since I moved back from Florida, almost 3 months ago, I'm back at school and still baking. There has been baking going on even though there have been infrequent posts. Life just seems to get busier and I don't think that will ever change.

I found out today that I can now officially sell cookies in Tennessee. I cannot sell them online or out of state since I bake from home in a kitchen that is not licensed or inspected. I have taken a course in proper food handling, which the state recommends those who sell from home take some type of course.

Anyway on to the cookies.

Some of the cookies which I have neglected posting... I made these snowflakes and ornaments in November as well as pumpkins and some Disney cookies. I can't find the pictures I took of the pumpkins and Disney cookies but I will do a more in depth search of my photos and try to upload them later.

On another cookie related topic, at Disney World some of the resorts make different things out of gingerbread.

There will be more cookies to come... these are not all of the cookies I have made within the past several months. Hopefully it won't take me 6 months to do so.

Summer's Sweet End

I feel fairly horrible that it has been over four months since I have last posted. I feel like I should have a lot of explaining to do. I have been very busy, but sadly enough most of my time is spent in the kitchen at work instead of the kitchen in my apartment. I have been super busy working at Disney World on their College Program. I have been at Disney since the end of May which is why my posts have been more than lacking. I have had a very small amount of time to make cookies since I moved here and now started online classes, but nonetheless I have been able to make a few.

I have made some for my brother's high school graduation before I left for Orlando in May. He's going to Mississippi State, hence the Mississippi State cookies. They took a tumble to the floor literally seconds after I put them on the plate. However, only two of them were fatally wounded and both were quickly eaten and no evidence of their fall was left.

There was a little leftover cookie dough from his cookies so I decided to make a few for me. Delta Gamma cookies of course!

I then ventured onto Disney World... what can I say it's the perfect place for me!

 My beautiful name tag.

Me and some of my roommates in front of Cinderella Castle. I live with seven other girls so when I make cookies they don't last very long.

I made these for my roommates birthday, a friend's birthday, my brother's birthday and just because I felt the need to make cookies because it had been a while since I made them last. I got fairly creative with these and decided to try a new pattern as well as cupcake cookies.

I work here at Disney's Art of Animation Resort...

Where some of the rooms are themed after Finding Nemo. I got in some Disney spirit and made some of the seagulls from Finding Nemo. The "Mine, Mine, Mine" ones...

The resemblance is close, I think I should have made their beaks yellow instead of orange but they still look like the seagulls.

I just bought some Star Wars cookie cutters, but most of them require me to use black icing (which I have found to taste horrible, so I'll be messing around with colors to see if I can come up with something better.)
